Greetings from Vistas HR! We are currently looking to hire a Scientist specializing in Food Technology or Food Nutrition for a Food Nutrition company based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. As a Scientist in the R&D Food and Functional Ingredients department, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative food and beverage formulations utilizing plant-derived alternative proteins. As the ideal candidate, you should hold a Master's or Ph.D. in Food Science or Food Technology with at least 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in food/nutraceutical product development. Your primary responsibility will be to design and create food and beverage products such as dairy alternatives, bakery items, beverages, and snacks using plant-based alternative proteins. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the nutritional validation of formulations by analyzing and optimizing nutritional profiles, including amino acid balance, digestibility, and bioavailability. You will also lead prototyping and application trials in collaboration with FMCG partners and work towards validating health/nutritional claims while ensuring compliance with international food safety regulations. Moreover, your duties will involve supporting sensory testing protocols, acting as a technical liaison with R&D teams of partners, preparing technical dossiers, and engaging with external research bodies and academic partners for joint studies and knowledge exchange. Additionally, your role may require familiarity with marine-derived or botanical ingredients, experience in clean-label and health-focused product formulation, and an understanding of sustainable food systems or green ingredient innovation. If you possess a strong background in nutrition science, functional ingredients, and regulatory frameworks, along with effective communication and documentation skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
