Job Summary: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Apparel Designer to join our premium fashion brand. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of luxury fashion trends, textiles, and garment construction. They will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative apparel collections that align with the brands aesthetics and market positioning. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design Development: Research and create innovative design concepts for seasonal collections. Develop mood boards, sketches, and tech packs for new designs. Work with merchandising and trend teams to align collections with market demand. Ensure all designs are aligned with the brands premium positioning and identity. 2. Fabric Material Selection: Source and select high-quality fabrics, trims, and accessories. Collaborate with textile mills and vendors to develop exclusive materials. 3. Technical Production Coordination: Prepare detailed technical sketches and tech packs for production. Collaborate with pattern makers and sampling teams to ensure correct fit and construction. Conduct fit sessions and make necessary adjustments. Ensure all garments meet quality standards before final production. 4. Trend Market Research: Stay updated on global and local fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies. Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and exhibitions to gain industry insights. 5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, merchandising, and sales teams for campaign shoots and launch strategies. Assist in branding elements such as packaging, brand storytelling, and visual merchandising. Skills: Strong sketching skills (hand-drawn digital using Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop). Expertise in garment construction, pattern making, and draping. Knowledge of fabric science, dyeing techniques, and sustainable practices. Strong trend forecasting and storytelling ability. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
