The role involves handling documentation, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with shipping and customs regulations. The ideal candidate must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage end-to-end logistics operations efficiently. Key Responsibilities Manage daily logistics operations for domestic and international shipments. Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation including invoices, packing lists, and Bill of Lading. Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and customs agents. Track and monitor shipment status and ensure timely deliveries. Liaise with internal departments (Production, Stores, Sales, Purchase) for dispatch planning and execution. Handle import and export documentation, follow up for clearances, and ensure regulatory compliance. Maintain logistics records, shipment databases, and documentation archives. Negotiate rates with vendors and optimize transportation costs. Resolve logistical issues, delays, and discrepancies in coordination with relevant stakeholders. Prepare logistics reports, delivery schedules, and cost analysis for management review. Requirements Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or any related field. 2-5 years of experience in logistics handling both international and domestic shipments. Knowledge of shipping documentation, incoterms, customs clearance, and freight coordination. Strong communication and negotiation skills for vendor and stakeholder interaction. Proficient in MS Office and logistics management software (e.g., TMS, ERP). Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Familiarity with GST, import/export regulations, and transportation rules. Container Movement Coordination Ensure timely movement of all import containers within the free period and coordinate with transporters for efficient handling of import, export, and empty containers to and from the CFS. Warehouse Management Achieve optimal space utilization in export and import warehouses while maintaining organized and efficient inventory control. Daily Operations Monitoring Monitor daily movements and ensure timely dispatch and submission of accurate operational reports. Customer Coordination Address all customer-related issues promptly to ensure smooth operations and effective communication across all departments. Communication and Correspondence Respond to import/export operation messages and customer queries in a timely and professional manner. Revenue and Business Development Contribute to achieving the revenue budget, conduct market surveys, identify and develop new customers, and retain existing clients. Stakeholder Liaison Liaise proactively with customs and port officials for permissions and compliance to support seamless CFS operations. Process Improvement Initiatives Propose new ideas for operational improvements, cost-efficiency, and participate in process mapping with the operations team. Customer Engagement Collect and act upon regular customer feedback, deliver excellent service, and maintain continuous personal contact through visits and communication. Reporting and Analysis Prepare statistics and supporting reports for existing customers, and assist management with monthly reports and market updates. Rate Negotiation and Market Intelligence Discuss and negotiate rates for future agreements (as per authority matrix), provide updates on competition and productivity. Customer Relationship Management Maintain good relationships with existing customers and develop strong connections with competitors clients. Forecasting and Projections Gather and update customer forecasts and projections regularly to support business planning.

The Executive- Operation (Export & Import) role is based at the Chennai Branch office. As the Export & Import, both Air & SEA operation Executive, you will be responsible for customs operation work and liaising with customs inspection while coordinating with the office for documentation preparation. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include Export customs assessment, inspection & stuffing, Import customs assessment, inspection, & delivery, collecting Delivery Order (DO) from airlines, supervising break bulk loading, coordinating with the Railway department for break bulk billing, releasing Bill of Lading (BL) from the shipping company, collecting DO from shipping, following up with shipping lines for arrival details, coordinating with Container Freight Stations (CFS) for container movement, and following up with transporters. To qualify for this role, you should have at least a +2 / Graduate Qualification with 5-10 years of experience in Customs clearance. A strong knowledge of customs formalities and tariffs is essential, along with computer proficiency in MS Office.,

Contact and coordinate with vehicle transporters for timely arrangement of trucks, trailers, and other vehicles for dispatch of steel materials. Monitor vehicle placement, loading status, and transit updates to ensure timely deliveries.
