As a Senior Pavement Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring quality control in geotechnical and material investigations. Your duties will include conducting subsoil exploration at major and minor bridges, as well as Railway over Bridges (RoBs) within the project corridors. You will be involved in test pit investigations to determine existing subgrade strength. Your role will also involve identifying and finalizing borrow areas, quarries, and other sources of construction materials. You will be in charge of preparing query charts, finalizing borehole plans, and obtaining necessary approvals. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning subsoil investigations at the site, mobilizing machines, and overseeing the collection, storage, and transportation of soil and rock core samples for laboratory testing. Experience in advising on transportation projects will be advantageous for this position. Familiarity with computer software programs for highway design is also desirable.
