Transport In charge

1. Operational Management:

• Dispatching and Scheduling:Managing the daily operations of the transportation fleet, including dispatching drivers, planning routes, and scheduling deliveries or passenger transport.
• Fleet Management:Overseeing the maintenance, repairs, and overall condition of vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy and safe.
• Resource Allocation:Ensuring efficient use of vehicle and driver resources, optimizing routes and schedules to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
• Route Planning:Developing and implementing efficient transportation routes and schedules, considering factors like traffic conditions, delivery deadlines, and passenger needs.
• Tracking and Monitoring:Monitoring the location and status of vehicles and shipments, providing real-time updates to relevant parties, and addressing any issues or delays.

2. Staff Supervision and Management:

• Driver Supervision:Overseeing and managing drivers, ensuring they adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and traffic laws.
• Performance Management:Evaluating driver performance, providing feedback, and implementing training or corrective actions as needed.
• Team Leadership:Leading and motivating the transportation team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

3. Compliance and Safety:

• Regulatory Compliance:Ensuring all transportation operations comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards, licensing, and insurance requirements.
• Safety Audits:Conducting regular safety audits of vehicles and transportation procedures, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective measures.
• Emergency Response:Developing and implementing emergency response plans for transportation-related incidents, such as accidents or breakdowns.

4. Customer Service:

• Complaint Handling:Addressing customer complaints and resolving issues related to transportation services, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Communication:Maintaining clear and effective communication with customers, providing updates on shipments or travel arrangements.

5. Reporting and Analysis:

• Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of all transportation activities, including vehicle maintenance, driver logs, and shipment details.
• Performance Reporting:Preparing reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery rates, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs.
• Data Analysis:Analyzing transportation data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
