Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Transportation Executive to oversee and manage transportation activities for our growing eCommerce business. The role will focus on ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers, optimizing routes, coordinating with third-party vendors, and maintaining high standards in logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills and a passion for driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Transportation Management: Coordinate and monitor transportation activities to ensure on-time deliveries, cost efficiency, and route optimization. Vendor Coordination: Work closely with third-party transportation providers and freight forwarders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality services. Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with warehousing and inventory teams to maintain stock levels and ensure accurate dispatch and delivery schedules. Route Planning and Optimization: Analyze and plan transportation routes to minimize delivery time and cost, ensuring maximum efficiency in operations. Order Tracking and Reporting: Track deliveries and shipments from point of origin to customer, maintaining accurate records of delivery status, delays, or issues. Customer Service: Address customer complaints and queries related to delivery timelines, damaged goods, or missing items. Work with customer service teams to resolve issues promptly. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Maintain documentation and report on transportation activities. Cost Management: Monitor and report on transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost reductions through process improvements or alternative solutions. Data Analysis: Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and provide insights for better decision-making. Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices in transportation management to continuously improve the quality of service, reduce lead time, and enhance the customer experience. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 2+ years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or eCommerce operations. Strong understanding of transportation operations, route planning, and vendor management. Experience in working with transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards. Preferred Skills: Experience in eCommerce or retail logistics. Knowledge of last-mile delivery solutions. Familiarity with data analytics tools or advanced Excel. Certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CLTD, etc.).
