This job opportunity based in Australia offers you the chance to join the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UNSW as a Lecturer in a Teaching and Research role. Your main responsibility will be to cover the work of academics within the school who have secured ARC fellowship appointments. You will be involved in high-quality teaching and research in transport engineering, focusing on emerging technologies such as predictive modelling, real-time traffic analytics, and autonomous vehicle integration. This role provides you with the opportunity to contribute to sustainable mobility and smart infrastructure innovation in the field of transport engineering. Reporting to the Head of School, you will not have any direct reports. The position is at Level B with a salary range of $127,947 to $150,830 per annum plus 17% superannuation. It is a full-time role on a fixed-term contract for 4 years, located in Kensington, Sydney, Australia. To qualify for this position, you should have a PhD in a related discipline or relevant work experience, a proven commitment to staying updated with discipline knowledge, experience in teaching and learning design at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, proficiency in educational technologies, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and a passion for educational excellence. Additionally, you should have a track record in research, ability to work in a team, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of UNSW's aims, objectives, and values.
