Transport Co-ordinator

Transport Coordinator:

• Oversee the daily operations of vehicles (cars / trucks), ensuring optimal deployment and scheduling.
• Manage reservations, dispatching of cabs, routing planning for pickups and drop offs (employees, customers, etc.).
• Monitor vehicle utilization, idle times, travel times; optimize for efficiency and cost.
• Track and manage preventative & reactive maintenance schedules (servicing, repairing) to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
• Maintain fuel usage records, drivers’ logs, expense tracking, work with finance for timely reimbursements.
• Ensure all vehicles are insured, registered, taxed, and compliant with legal / regulatory requirements.
• Implement & monitor safety standards (driver behavior, vehicle condition, adherence to traffic rules).
• Establish and enforce driver policies: attendance, shift schedules, discipline, performance.
• Use GPS / telematics / tracking tools to monitor vehicle location, route adherence, speed, etc.
• Analyse transport data (costs, usage, routes, downtime) and provide periodic reports; suggest improvements to reduce cost or improve service.
• Vendor management: fuel vendors, garage / service vendors, insurance vendors.
• Budgeting & cost control for the transport function: maintenance costs, fuel costs, driver wages, etc.
• Coordinate with HR, security, facilities, and other departments needing transport support.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction (internal / external) in terms of safety, timeliness, vehicle condition.

The candidate must have sound knowledge of liaison work. (RTO / Insurance / Vehicle Dealer).

Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Any Graduation with 2 -3 years’ experience in related field
