The Business Development Manager - Intra-State Transmission Projects at Sterlite Power Transmission Limited is a key role responsible for driving growth in the intra-state transmission sector through market creation, regulatory analysis, policy advocacy, and supporting business acquisition efforts. You will play a crucial role in enabling private sector participation in intra-state transmission projects through TBCB processes. Your main responsibilities will include promoting the adoption of TBCB processes for private sector involvement in state transmission projects, analyzing State Coordination Committee meetings for actionable insights, reviewing state business plans and MYT petitions, evaluating and suggesting improvements to tariff regulations, and advocating for enhancements in Standard Bidding Guidelines. You will lead efforts to improve terms of Standard Bidding Documents and TSAs to foster an equitable business environment and collaborate with regulatory bodies, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to strengthen bidding processes and frameworks. Additionally, you will support the Business Acquisition team in identifying and analyzing the competitive landscape, drive advocacy efforts to position the organization as a preferred player for intra-state transmission projects, and utilize strong analytical skills for reviewing regulatory and policy documents. Your success in this role will be supported by a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields, 4 to 5 years of experience in the power transmission sector/infrastructure, focusing on policy, regulation, or business development, and good negotiation skills. With 5 to 10 years of experience and a B.Tech / B.E education background, you will be at the forefront of market creation, regulatory analysis, policy advocacy, and business acquisition efforts to facilitate private sector participation in intra-state transmission projects through TBCB (Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding) processes. Your key responsibilities will revolve around three main Key Result Areas (KRAs): Market Creation and Policy Advocacy: - Promote TBCB processes to encourage private sector involvement in state transmission projects. - Analyze State Coordination Committee (SCT) meetings for actionable insights. - Review and provide feedback on state business plans and MYT (Multi-Year Tariff) petitions in alignment with the National Tariff Policy. - Evaluate and propose enhancements to tariff regulations in different states. - Advocate for improved robustness and fairness in Standard Bidding Guidelines (SBG) of the States.
