At AppSquadz, we are looking for a skilled Cloud Network Engineer with 3 + years of experience in managing and securing enterprise networks. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise with Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls , along with AWS networking experience, including VPC management, security groups, and network ACLs . The candidate should be well-versed in network security policies, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: Firewall Policy Creation & Management Configure, implement, and maintain security policies on Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls to protect the network from threats. Security Rules Configuration Define and optimize access control rules, NAT, VPN policies, and other security settings to ensure a secure environment. Traffic Monitoring & Log Analysis – Continuously monitor firewall logs, detect anomalies, and respond to security events efficiently. AWS Networking & Security – Manage AWS VPCs, security groups, network ACLs, route tables, and VPN connections to ensure secure cloud networking. Threat Detection & Prevention – Implement IPS/IDS, URL filtering, anti-malware, and threat intelligence services on firewalls and cloud environments. Network Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve on-premises and AWS network connectivity and security-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime. VPN & Remote Access Management – Configure IPSec/SSL VPN solutions for secure remote connectivity and site-to-site connections. Cloud & Hybrid Network Integration – Design and optimize AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPC peering, and hybrid cloud networking . Compliance & Best Practices – Ensure firewall and cloud network configurations comply with security standards like ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS benchmarks . Documentation & Reporting – Maintain detailed documentation of firewall rules, AWS network configurations, and change logs for audits and compliance. Required Skills: Strong expertise in Palo Alto Networks (PAN-OS) and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls . Hands-on experience with AWS networking (VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, NACLs, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPNs, Load Balancers, and AWS WAF) . Proficiency in network security protocols, VLANs, routing (BGP, OSPF), and SD-WAN . Experience with firewall automation (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Shell) is a plus . Familiarity with SIEM tools, log management, and threat analysis . Strong troubleshooting skills for both on-premises and cloud networking issues . Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture, VPNs, and endpoint security .
