we are looking for a candidate with strong experience in 220 KV or ultra-high voltage substation design specifically 400 KV or 765 KV because KEC is Majorly involved with 400 KV or 765 KV Substations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in the following areas under 220 KV / 400 KV / 765 KV substation projects: AIS/GIS- Layout design DSLP (Direct Stroke Lightning Protection) design Earthing design and calculations Equipment sizing including Transformer, Breaker, LA, CT, CVT, BPI, Cable trench, Cable schedule CRP (Control & Relay Panel) drawing review ACDB, DCDB, SLD , Battery & UPS sizing Vendor drawing review Familiarity with relevant standards such as IEC, IS, and IEEE is also essential.

Overseeing engineering project design Preparation of engineering documents like calculation, design, & vendor documents from Customer end. Responsibility: Lead the electrical design and engineering efforts for assigned projects from concept through commissioning. Develop detailed electrical design packages including single-line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, and layout drawings. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE). Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and automation engineers. Review and approve vendor documentation and equipment specifications. Support procurement activities by preparing technical specifications and evaluating vendor bids. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and progress reviews. Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
