Location: Kherdi,Silvassa Department:Transformer Manufacturing CTC:Up to ?8 LPA Experience: 46 years Employment Type:Full-time Perks : Accomodation provided by the company Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Transformer Manufacturing Division. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the mechanical design of transformer tanks, particularly for Oil-Filled (ONAN), Distribution, Power, Hermetically Sealed, and Inverter Duty Transformers (up to 20 MVA, 33 kV). The role demands proficiency in AutoCAD and preferably SolidWorks, with strong expertise in sheet metal design, fabrication standards, and transformer accessories such as radiators and conservators. Key Responsibilities: * Design and develop transformer tanks and components based on project requirements. * Prepare detailed General Arrangement (GA) drawings and manufacturing drawings. * Create comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOMs) for production and procurement. * Ensure design feasibility, adherence to industry standards, and manufacturability. * Size and design radiators, conservators, and other sheet metal components. * Collaborate with electrical design, production, and quality teams to ensure alignment and execution of design intent. * Support continuous improvement of design processes and documentation. Candidate Requirements: Qualification:Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. Experience:46 years of relevant experience in transformer tank design. Technical Skills: * Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. * Working knowledge of SolidWorks is preferred. * Strong understanding of sheet metal design and fabrication techniques. * Experience in designing tanks for ONAN, Distribution, Power, Hermetically Sealed, and Inverter Duty Transformers (up to 20 MVA, 33 kV). * Ability to generate accurate drawings and BOMs with high attention to detail. * Familiarity with IS/IEC standards relevant to transformer mechanical design. You will be instrumental in driving market penetration, achieving sales targets, and building strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities: Conduct compelling product presentations to potential customers, showcasing the technical features and benefits of our transformer/switchgear accessories. Manage the end-to-end tendering process, from bid preparation to submission, ensuring compliance and competitiveness. Oversee order input and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Implement robust debtor control measures to manage accounts receivables effectively. Proactively work towards achieving and exceeding assigned sales budgets and targets. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of market forces, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform marketing strategies. Collaborate closely with the Senior Marketing Engineer and other internal stakeholders to align marketing and sales efforts. Travel extensively (minimum 15 days per month) to meet clients, attend industry events, and explore new business opportunities across assigned regions. Preferred candidate profile Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Marketing of Transformer and/or Switchgear accessories. Demonstrated experience working with OEM and State Government Utilities. Sound knowledge of operating market forces within the electrical engineering domain. Exceptional analytical ability to interpret market data and strategize effectively. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and persuasively. Multilingual proficiency (especially in regional languages for Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad) will be a significant advantage. Age: 27 to 35 years. Willingness to travel extensively (minimum 15 days in a month) is a mandatory requirement.
