What's the Role? We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Developer with a strong focus on MSSQL development, T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in writing complex queries, optimizing database performance, and working with stored procedures. While knowledge of database infrastructure and maintenance is beneficial, the primary focus is on MSSQL development and tuning. Responsibilities/ Duties Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL databases and related objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and functions. Write complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures to handle large volumes of data efficiently. Develop and implement efficient database schemas and indexing strategies. Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries to improve performance and scalability. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, and other diagnostic tools. Conduct regular query tuning and load testing to ensure high-performance database operations. Configure and manage MSSQL replication (Transactional, Merge, and Snapshot). Troubleshoot replication issues and conflicts. Develop and maintain complex reports using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services). Work on data integration and ETL tasks using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). Perform data migration and transformation tasks as needed. Ensure data consistency and integrity during migration. Work closely with software developers and system administrators to ensure optimal database configurations and server settings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement database best practices and performance standards. Document database designs, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in MSSQL server performance optimization and tuning techniques. Proactively recommend and implement improvements based on industry best practices. Criteria for the Role! Minimum 57 years of experience in database development. Strong expertise in MSSQL, T-SQL, and query optimization. Proven experience in writing complex stored procedures and handling large data sets efficiently. Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Good knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). In-depth understanding of query execution plans and indexing strategies. Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve performance issues. Experience with MSSQL replication (Transactional, Merge, and Snapshot) is preferred. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Proficient in documenting database designs and procedures for knowledge sharing. Nice to Have Knowledge of MySQL and Power BI. Experience working in the logistics and freight industry. Understanding of database infrastructure and server maintenance. Competency Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum). Participation in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience using SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
