The role of Taxation involves working on various domestic and/or international tax aspects to ensure compliance with income tax laws and regulations. Your responsibilities will include calculating tax liabilities, preparing tax forms, external filing and reporting, conducting tax research, analysis, and interpretation for compliance, planning, and optimization purposes, as well as recording tax-specific transactions and maintaining records. Additionally, you may be required to consult with external experts and agencies on tax-related matters. As a professional in this stream, you will primarily focus on applying technical knowledge within your area of expertise rather than managing people to achieve results. While mentoring less experienced colleagues, providing informal supervision, or overseeing the work of lower-level professionals may be part of your responsibilities, your main role will involve setting objectives, delivering on your own work responsibilities, becoming a leading expert in your field, and influencing long-term tactical decisions within the organization. Your progression within this stream will be marked by a deepening of your professional knowledge, enhanced project management skills, and the ability to influence others. You will work independently within defined boundaries and guidelines in a specific area, seeking supervision and support for more complex tasks. Your expertise will be crucial in applying practical methods and techniques, work procedures, and processes effectively.
