Ocean & Air Import/Export Freight Forwarding Specialist. Are you a logistics professional ready to support international freight operations from the comfort of your home? We're hiring an experienced Ocean & Air Import / Export Specialist in India to support our operations team in Montreal during night shifts (India Time) . What You’ll Do Coordinate Shipments: Manage full-cycle ocean (FCL/LCL) and air import/export shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Booking & Tracking: Book cargo and actively track movement from origin to destination, keeping all stakeholders informed. Documentation: Accurately prepare and handle all documentation including B/L, AWB, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Origin. Customs Compliance: Ensure adherence to international trade and customs regulations. Liaise with brokers for customs clearance. Client Communication: Act as a key point of contact for clients, carriers, and agents to provide timely updates and resolve issues. Invoice Verification: Validate freight invoices and resolve discrepancies proactively. Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for improved operational and cost efficiencies. Collaboration: Support internal teams and external partners to maintain high service standards. What We’re Looking For Experience: 3 to 7 years in freight forwarding (especially in ocean/air coordination roles). Industry Network: Solid understanding of maritime and air cargo operations; prior contact with steamship lines and drayage vendors preferred. Knowledge: Strong grasp of customs procedures, Incoterms, and global logistics. Skills: Detail-oriented, independent, and organized with the ability to manage time and pressure efficiently. Tech: Familiarity with freight management systems is an asset. Work Schedule Full-Time, Remote India Hours: 7:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST (corresponding to 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM Montreal Time) On-call availability after hours for emergencies What We Offer Starting Salary: Approx. $600 USD per month Opportunity to work with a reputable North American logistics company.
