Role Overview: As a CAD Draftsman, you will be responsible for preparing 2D drawings and assisting in creating basic 3D models using AutoCAD. You will need to understand and apply fundamental design principles related to MEP systems, read and interpret architectural plans accurately, draft schematic diagrams, maintain drawing documentation, and gradually take responsibility for real project drawings with accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare 2D drawings and assist in creating basic 3D models using AutoCAD - Understand and apply fundamental design principles related to MEP systems - Read and interpret architectural plans, structural drawings, and MEP layouts accurately - Draft schematic diagrams, layout plans, sections, and detailed drawings under guidance - Maintain and update drawing documentation, version control, and revision logs - Participate in technical training sessions and follow instructions from senior engineers/design leads - Take responsibility for real project drawings with accuracy and professionalism - Apply industry codes, standards, and best drafting practices while preparing layouts - Coordinate with internal teams to understand design requirements - Revise drawings and layouts as per engineering markups, QA reviews, and client feedback - Demonstrate consistent improvement in accuracy, speed, attention to detail, and understanding of MEP systems - Ensure all drawings prepared are organized, clear, and meet company quality standards Qualification Required: - Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering (or any equivalent technical field) - AutoCAD certification is mandatory. Basic knowledge of MS Office will be an added advantage - Basic understanding of construction or building drawings is preferred.
