Trade & Transportation Administrator

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, maintain, and improve transport/documentation processes. Each day, you will ensure goods are received and shipped while meeting quality, legal, and cost parameters. You will also showcase your expertise by optimizing inbound and/or outbound processes and delivery of goods to external and internal clients.

The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Bangalore (Nelamangala), India You will be mainly accountable for:

• Responsible for executing international logistics and transportation operations, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations and local import/export requirements.
• Negotiates freight and transportation rates across various modes to optimize cost and service efficiency.
• Coordinates with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers to ensure timely and accurate shipment execution.
• Monitors shipment tracking, milestone updates, and transit reporting to maintain visibility and proactively resolve delays.
• Maintains accurate documentation and trade data to support audits and continuous process improvements.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders and global teams to address escalations and implement logistics solutions aligned with business needs.
• Conducts vendor performance reviews, manages claims for in-transit damages, and drives initiatives to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).

• You are immersed in Trade and Transportation function in Switchgear industry
• You have 3 to 6 years of experience in managing international import and export operations, compliance with global trade regulations and local customs, Negotiating freight and transportation rates, shipment tracking, milestone updates, vendor performance review & manages claims for in-transit damages
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP - HANA, IncoTerms (International Commercial Terms), MS Office Package
• Degree in B.Com/ M.Com / BBA / MBA (should be full-time)
• You are at ease communicating in English
