Conversant with QC tools Conversant with Microsoft office & its usage (word /excel/ppt). Conversant with TPM methodology. Conversant with basics of casting , machining & surface treatment processes. Behavioral Self-setting of target for self / vendors to meet organization target and continuously improve. Effective communication skill Team player and transparency in work. Keep update with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends that concern product quality Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs w. r. t existing process & products. Monitor and control process parameters (mould level, cooling rates, withdrawal speed, etc.) for consistent performance. Lead troubleshooting of process or equipment-related issues to minimize downtime and quality losses. Drive continuous improvement in productivity, yield, quality, and cost through lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies. Collaborate with maintenance, automation, and R&D teams to implement technological upgrades and process innovations. Analyze operational data and performance trends to optimize casting efficiency and reduce defects like cracks, segregation, and inclusions. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, supervisors, and operators. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence. Ensure proper training and skill development for team members on new technologies and SOPs. Enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and statutory regulations. Ensure compliance with ISO, IATF, or other relevant quality systems and customer specifications. Drive implementation of safety standards and risk assessments within the CCP. Coordinate with upstream (SMS) and downstream (rolling mills, logistics) departments to ensure smooth flow and synchronization. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production, downtime, quality, and performance KPIs.
