Additionally, you will provide work breakdown and direction to more junior team members. Your main duties and responsibilities will include: - Acting independently or as a member of a project team to provide analytical support and consulting on projects. - Installing, configuring, and upgrading SQL Server and Oracle database software on various platforms. - Monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning strategies. - Using knowledge, creativity, company practices, and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems and working with business representatives to combine business and technical expertise in the requirements development phase. - Creating automation for database infrastructure projects, deployment automation, and administrative tasks. - Maintaining data accuracy and consistency for databases by running regular built-in utilities and custom-built routines and processes. - Developing and executing test plans and testing for complex solutions. - Taking on additional database responsibilities as your skill set increases and performing any additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership. To qualify for this position, you should have the following qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering, a related degree, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of relevant work experience. - A strong command of MS SQL Server and Microsoft Azure Cloud Database Services (other cloud Database services preferred in addition). - An in-depth understanding of the database engine and strong performance tuning skills. - Programming experience with Infrastructure as a code (IAC) and DevOps models. Ability to create Database Projects (Visual Studio preferred), and CI/CD automation processes. - Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards. - Ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis, and solution design thinking.,
