As a Senior Piping Material Engineer at Hanwha Ocean, you will play a crucial role in leading and controlling piping materials mainly for Topside facilities in FPSO/FLNG or Offshore facilities. You will assist the Head of Discipline/Senior person in managing a corporate organization and mentoring junior Engineers. Your responsibilities will involve developing corporate technical standards/procedures, workflow, and engineering platforms while ensuring they are updated, integral, practical, and fit for purpose by incorporating Project Lesson Learnt. Additionally, you will conduct technical validation and quality assurance to ensure the execution of Feasibility/Conceptual Study/Pre-FEED/FEED, EPCI Engineering projects for FPSO/FLNG or Offshore facilities meets regulatory compliance and optimum solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Lead for Topside Piping Material in the Project Team. - Update and Maintain EPCI and O & M Phase Lesson Learnt database. - Prepare and develop engineering documents in accordance with relevant design codes, standards, and client project specifications. - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. - Provide engineering expertise and support to form efficient, safe, and environmentally compliant piping and utility systems. - Manage interface with relevant disciplines and external stakeholders. - Perform pipe wall thickness calculation in accordance with ASME codes and standards. - Prepare piping material specifications, valve material specifications, specialty item datasheets, and MTOs. - Review vendor proposals, prepare technical bid clarifications, and approve vendor data and deliverables. - Assist in resolving technical issues during fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases. - Conduct feasibility studies, Pre-FEED, FEED, and EPCI phase Engineering. - Provide engineering review and support for bid proposals. - Raise technical queries to ensure clarity on scopes of work and design basis. Qualifications: - Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - Minimum 10 years of working experience with 5 years in Oil & Gas industries. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively independently or as part of a team. - Fluent in English with strong oral and written communication skills. To qualify for this role, you should hold a minimum bachelor's degree in Instrument/Electronics & Communication or equivalent engineering field, along with at least 5 years of experience in Instrument design engineering. Proficiency in engineering software such as SPI, AVEVA Instrument, and Instru-Cal is essential, as well as fluency in English with strong communication skills, both oral and written.
