We are hiring for our client a leading leading Steel Cast components manufacturing company (MNC) Position: Tooling Engineer Experience: 5 - 8 Years Qualification:Diploma - Mech, Diploma - Tool & Die (NTTF) Location : Viralimalai,Trichy Job Type: Permanent Direct Walk in : 21st Sep 2025 (Sunday) @ Coimbatore JD: Key Responsibilities : 1. Responsible for tool planning to ensure Nil idle time of machines. 2. Ensure Nil provisions of tools inventory. 1. Responsible for tool planning to ensure Nil idle time of machines. Prepare tool requirements based on the monthly production plan. Prepare purchase requests for tools procurement and follow up necessary internal approvals. Ensure the tools are available on time for production in adherence to the plan. Identify alternate vendors/suppliers for tools cost reduction without affecting the Quality and process time. Regular monitoring of the tools consumption and analyse the Cost Per Component. Inspect all the machines on a daily basis to measure the health of tools. Identify any defects or weak tools and arrange for the spares to avoid any further damage. Co-ordinate with Engineering dept for queries/clarifications on new product tool requirements. Ensure any abnormalities are escalated on time and appropriate corrective actions are taken. Competencies - Machine shop process knowledge - Ability to read mechanical drawings - CNC Operations knowledge - Good knowledge in cutting tools - Analytical Ability - Planning skills 2. Ensure Nil provisions of tools inventory. Effective planning of tool requirements based on the monthly plan. Identify vendors to supply tools with minimal lean time. Ensure all the tools are consumed as per the plan. Keep a track on the tools consumption on a regular basis and ensure Nil provisions of tools inventory.
