Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Toolmaker, based in Chennai. The Toolmaker will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling tools, dies, and equipment according to blueprints, technical specifications, and work orders. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting design specifications, operating and maintaining milling machines and other tools, and ensuring the quality and functionality of all products. Collaboration with the engineering team and adherence to safety standards are key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

Proficiency in operating milling machines, lathes, and other factory tools
Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
Knowledge of measurement instruments and maintaining high precision standards
Hands-on experience in toolmaking, die manufacturing, and repairs
Ability to troubleshoot tool-related issues and perform preventive maintenance
Understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Experience with CAD/CAM software for tooling design is a plus
Relevant certifications or a diploma in Tool and Die Making or Mechanical Engineering
