Tooling & Fixture Design Engineer (NX)

As a Tooling & Fixture Design Engineer specializing in Body, Paint, and Final Assembly, your role will involve utilizing your subject matter expertise in various functions. You will be required to have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with 7 to 10 years of experience. Key responsibilities include: - Proficiency in NX Solid modeling for Tooling & fixture design - Basic knowledge of FIDES based tooling & fixture design - Familiarity with CAD tools such as Catia, Team Center, Team Center Vis mockup, and Process Simulate - Willingness to learn and adapt to new virtual manufacturing tools - Flexibility to work in shifts when necessary - Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills - Ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks - Participation in tool tests at the GTBC campus - Specialized expertise in Tooling and Fixture design using NX CAD in Body Shop, Paint Eng., and Final Assembly functions - Understanding of Body Shop/Final Assembly manufacturing processes - Knowledge of NAAMS standard for fixture design, GD&T, weld studies, etc. - Hands-on skills in Expressions, Part families, Product template studio, and Creation of 2D templates - Familiarity with NX Open API for coding and parametric automation - Development and release of standards including methods and work instructions - Analysis and timely resolution of design/application released issues - User Acceptance Testing for new versions of NX/Tce releases - Collaboration with internal and external suppliers on Automation projects for design process optimization - Building strong relationships with Ford Global SMEs and suppliers Please note that this job requires a strong background in tooling & fixture design, proficiency in CAD tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.,
