Tooling and Die Draughting Engineer

We are looking for a Tooling and Die Draughting Engineer with expertise in sheet metal forming processes. As a specialist in this field, you will be responsible for converting concepts and techniques into precise tooling and dies to support product development. Collaboration with design engineers and production teams will be crucial to refine and optimize designs for manufacturability, specifically addressing challenges in sheet metal forming. Your proficiency in this area will be instrumental in delivering innovative solutions, elevating product quality, and enhancing overall efficiency. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing product requirements to develop tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for sheet metal forming. Using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD, you will create detailed 2D and 3D models. Building and testing prototypes to validate design accuracy and functionality will also be part of your role. Furthermore, you will work towards optimizing tooling designs to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize downtime. It is essential to prepare precise manufacturing drawings and maintain all related documentation. Collaboration with design, production, and quality teams will be necessary to refine and enhance tooling solutions. Proficiency in creating and interpreting manufacturing drawings with a solid understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerance is expected. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in BE Mechanical / DME / ITI with over 2 years of experience in tool die. A strong understanding of tool and die design principles, as well as manufacturing techniques, is essential. Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is required, and hands-on knowledge of sheet metal forming processes is preferred.
