As a Tool Room Operator specializing in GDC Die Casting (Aluminum), your role is crucial in ensuring precision, technical expertise, and effective die maintenance practices. You will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Operate and maintain tool room equipment specific to GDC Aluminum die casting, adhering to design specifications. - Conduct die repair and manufacturing activities to uphold quality standards. - Utilize EDM machines for precise machining and finishing of die components. - Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on dies and tools to ensure operational efficiency. - Uphold accuracy and quality in all machining operations. - Keep detailed records of tool usage, repairs, and modifications for documentation purposes. - Collaborate with design and production teams to troubleshoot and enhance die performance. - Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - ITI/Diploma in Tool & Die Making or a related trade. - Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Tool Room operations, particularly in GDC Aluminum die casting. - Proficiency in die manufacturing and repair techniques. - Skills in EDM operation, including Wire Cut and Sinker. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately. - Strong attention to detail and precision in all tasks. - Familiarity with tool room measuring instruments and quality control processes.
