TM DRIVER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES – TM (Transit Mixer) Driver1. Vehicle Operation

• Safely operate the Transit Mixer (TM) to transport Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) from the plant to customer sites.
• Ensure smooth driving, avoiding sudden braking or jerks to maintain concrete quality.
• Reach the site within the given time to avoid concrete setting delays.

2. Pre-Start Inspection

• Conduct daily checks before starting the vehicle:
• Engine oil, coolant, hydraulic oil levels
• Fuel level
• Brake functioning
• Tyre pressure & condition
• Lights, horn, indicators
• Drum rotation & hydraulic system
• Report any defects or abnormalities immediately.

3. Loading Responsibilities

• Position the Transit Mixer correctly under the batching plant discharge point.
• Ensure correct quantity of RMC is loaded as per docket/dispatch slip.
• Verify slump, mix type, and special instructions with the dispatch supervisor.

4. Transit & Delivery

• Follow assigned route and abide by traffic rules.
• Maintain continuous drum rotation at recommended RPM to avoid concrete setting.
• Communicate ETA with the dispatch and site in-charge.
• Avoid unnecessary stops during transit.

5. Site Responsibilities

• Check site access and ensure safe entry.
• Follow site engineer’s instructions for discharge.
• Position the vehicle properly for pumping/direct unloading.
• Adjust drum speed appropriately during unloading.
• Collect customer signature on delivery challan/docket.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Wear PPE (helmet, safety shoes, reflective jacket).
• Follow safety rules at plant and customer sites.
• Avoid over-speeding, mobile usage while driving, or reckless driving.
• Follow all company policies and traffic regulations.

7. Document Handling

• Maintain and carry:
• Driving license
• RC book
• PUC certificate
• Insurance copy
• Company ID
• Submit signed delivery docket to the dispatch/office daily.

8. Vehicle Cleanliness & Maintenance

• Clean TM drum exterior and chute after every trip.
• Ensure no hardened concrete accumulates inside the drum.
• Wash vehicle daily at the plant wash-out area.
• Report breakdowns or maintenance needs instantly to the mechanic/plant manager.

9. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with:
• Dispatch executive
• Batching plant operator
• Site engineer
• Plant manager
• Inform dispatch in case of delays, traffic issues, breakdowns, or site problems.

10. Behavioral & Company Conduct

• Maintain discipline and professional behavior at plant and sites.
• Avoid arguments with customers or site staff.
• Be punctual and adhere to shift timings.
• Maintain good driving habits to reduce fuel consumption and wear & tear.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month
