Title Software Quality Engineer II

You will be part of the engineering development team for the NCR Voyix Retail Business Unit R10 Product, which runs point of sales and self-checkout systems. You will work directly with software engineering, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders throughout the full product life cycles. Your responsibilities will include planning, executing, and maintaining test cases with a deep understanding of complex system business logic. You will install, configure, and maintain products, data, tools, and test environments for Linux-based applications and Windows. Additionally, you will analyze system logs and network issues using Linux utilities such as k9s, create and upgrade test plans for each release, and develop functional and regression tests to ensure the code functions as designed. Root cause analysis of identified defects and collaboration with development teams to resolve issues will be part of your role. Moreover, you will work with DevOps and developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD. Testing APIs using tools like Postman will also be a part of your responsibilities. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in testing complex software systems, particularly server-client products. Knowledge in WebServices, basic Linux skills, and familiarity with Linux system administration are required. Experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI, Jira, testing tools like Git, GitHub, PractiTest, and database testing with SQL are essential. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for testing in containerized environments is preferred. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of QA practices, Agile/SAFE methodology, and good English writing and speaking skills are also necessary.
