Title Cable Jointer

The Cable Jointer role in Oman involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical or telecommunication cables, both high- and low-voltage. Your responsibilities include jointing power cables, complying with safety regulations, terminating cables, testing installations, and ensuring health and safety compliance. You will also diagnose faults, perform maintenance, document work, collaborate with team members, and undertake other tasks as required. Key Responsibilities: - Carry out jointing of medium and low-voltage power cables, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. - Install and join cables for new installations and maintenance projects using various jointing techniques and specialized equipment. - Terminate electrical cables securely by stripping insulation, fitting connectors, and ensuring correct alignment and system performance. - Perform testing of cable installations, diagnose faults, conduct inspections, and make necessary repairs or replacements. - Ensure all work adheres to local safety regulations, follow safe work practices, and participate in safety audits and risk assessments. - Identify, troubleshoot, and repair faults in cable networks, conduct scheduled maintenance, and prevent cable damage. - Maintain accurate records of work completed, report hazards or issues, collaborate with team members, and provide technical support as needed. - Carry out additional tasks as directed by supervisors, such as cable pulling, trenching, or assisting with larger projects. Skills and Qualifications: - Proficiency in the installation, jointing, and termination of electrical and telecommunication cables. - Knowledge of jointing techniques, equipment, and safety practices. - Previous experience in cable jointing, electrical installation, or related fields, typically 2+ years. - Familiarity with various cable types, voltages, and high-voltage cable jointing and termination experience may be required for some roles. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, requiring a total of 2 years of work experience. The work location is in person.,
