Title Business Intelligence Engineer

As a BI Engineer specializing in Power BI, you will be responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and translating them into technical specifications for dashboards and reports. You will work on optimizing and improving existing Power BI solutions for better performance and usability, conducting data analysis and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Integration of Power BI with various data sources and ensuring seamless data flow will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Working closely with data engineers and other team members is essential to ensure data quality and consistency. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards, documenting technical specifications, processes, and user guides for developed solutions, as well as providing training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices are also part of your role. You should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, along with at least 4 years of professional experience in Power BI development. Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service is required, as well as proficiency in Power Query for data cleaning and combining data from various sources. A strong understanding of Power BI's calculation functionalities, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and experience with integrating Power BI with various data sources such as SQL databases, cloud data sources, and APIs are essential. Excellent knowledge of SQL for querying and transforming data to be used in Power BI, proven ability to optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability, solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling, and experience in facilitating report sharing and collaboration within an organization are also important. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders and convey complex data insights through Power BI are necessary for success in this role.,
