🚀 Chief Technology Officer (CTO) 📍 Location : Hyderabad | 🕐 Full-Time | 💼 Defense Tech | ✈️ UAV Systems About TISA Aerospace TISA Aerospace (A Subsidiary of Zen Technologies Ltd) is an indigenous defense technology company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of loitering munition UAVs . We have successfully delivered Loitering Munition UAV systems to DRDO and are working on next-generation variants for the Indian Army and allied forces. We are now scaling our R&D and product lines and are looking for a visionary CTO to lead this transformation. Position Overview As CTO, you will drive the technology vision, architecture, and product innovation strategy of TISA Aerospace. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across aerodynamics, avionics, control systems, Computer Vision (AI/ML) -based guidance, manufacturing, and systems integration , and play a pivotal role in our growth and mission-readiness. Key Responsibilities 🔧 Technical Leadership: Lead development of loitering munition UAV platforms – both fixed/foldable-wing and hybrid. Oversee architecture and integration of avionics, propulsion, communications, warhead systems, and autonomous guidance. Direct implementation and customization of autopilot systems (PX4/ArduPilot) and firmware for precision guidance. Guide the development of object tracking, Computer Vision (AI/ML)-based targeting, and GNSS-denied navigation systems. Define testing, simulation, validation, and quality standards for mission-critical systems. 🛠️ Product Strategy & R&D: Own the product technology roadmap aligned with DRDO/Army GSQRs and export opportunities. Translate defense user requirements into scalable system-level solutions. Ensure compliance with defense-grade EMI/EMC, MIL-STD, IP ratings, and airworthiness standards. 👥 Team Building & Management: Recruit and mentor high-performance technical teams (avionics, CV, AI, mechanical, manufacturing, testing). Create collaborative workflows between design, integration, and production teams. Drive IP development, documentation, and tech capability maturity models. 🤝 External & Strategic Collaboration: Represent TISA with DRDO, Indian Army, MoD, and other defense stakeholders. Work with certification bodies and ensure technology readiness for field deployment. Contribute to investor and partner technology presentations, trials, and exhibitions. Qualifications 🎓 Education: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, Electronics, or a related field. PhD is a plus. 🧠 Experience: Minimum 10–15 years of experience in UAV/defense/aerospace product development. Proven track record of leading cross-functional engineering teams. Deep knowledge of PX4/ArduPilot, embedded systems (C/C++), RF systems, GNC algorithms. Familiarity with Indian defense procurement norms, GSQRs, and DAP 2020. Prior experience working with DRDO, BEL, HAL, or private defense startups is preferred. Key Competencies Strong technical depth in aerospace systems. Hands-on leadership with startup mindset.
