Supporting critical services like Kafka and Timeseries DB will be part of your responsibilities, along with enhancing the data and event pipeline across the stack. You will be responsible for architectural design aimed at unifying different offers into a single solution for Small and Mid-Size Buildings, developing and deploying microservices architectures, and actively participating in coding and development tasks when necessary. Managing the full deployment lifecycle from architecture design through integration and maintenance will also fall under your purview. Your role will entail guiding and mentoring teams in developing modern cloud solutions and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. To excel in this role, you are required to have 10-15 years of overall software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in an architect role for a cloud-based software product/platform, with a proven track record of deploying cloud solutions at a large scale supporting billions of data points per day. Your technical expertise must include expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure, strong experience in making cost-conscious architectural decisions, proficiency in Kafka, event-driven architecture, microservices, containerization, Kubernetes, and various databases like Redis, MongoDB, and Postgresql. Additionally, experience with timeseries databases, configurable dashboard platforms, Kafka Streams, building data pipelines, architecting data analytics systems, and CI/CD pipelines will be beneficial. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C# is essential. Hands-on experience with Atlassian Jira & Confluence Cloud, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, and working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Scaled Agile (SAFe) modes is required. In terms of soft skills, you should possess excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, both verbal and written, the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences, good judgment, time management, decision-making skills, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. A willingness to work outside the documented job description and a "whatever is needed" attitude are also highly valued. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional. Prior experience in the energy sector or industrial automation is advantageous. This is a full-time position based in Gurugram, Haryana.
