As a Structural Engineer at DesignEdge Structural Solutions, you will be responsible for pushing the boundaries of structural engineering through innovation, precision, and expertise. Your role will involve designing building structures, managing projects in high seismic zones along the US West Coast, and ensuring code-compliant technical design. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute assigned structural design tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring work is delivered within allocated hours, with an appropriate level of detail, and in accordance with project deadlines. Maintain clear communication with the project lead regarding design progress and rationale behind design decisions. - Adhere strictly to internal QA/QC processes and document control protocols. Ensure all drawings, reports, calculations, and correspondence are prepared, reviewed, issued, and archived systematically and professionally. - Carry out detailed structural design and analysis in line with client requirements and the latest applicable codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE). Demonstrate a strong understanding of structural systems, constructability, and interdisciplinary coordination. - Organize and perform structural calculations using industry standards and tools. Supervise and support junior team members in delivering delegated tasks, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance with project requirements. - Manage day-to-day technical coordination within the design team and external consultants. Ensure timely availability of design data and documentation needed to meet client and project expectations. - Utilize appropriate software tools for modeling, drafting, and structural analysis (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RAM, RISA, Revit). Perform both automated and manual design checks as part of the design validation process. - Provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a learning-oriented environment. Assist in organizing training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to support continuous professional development within the team. **Qualifications Required:** - Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing structures per ASCE, ACI, and AISC building codes. - Bachelors degree in civil engineering or masters degree in Structural Engineering. - Experience in handling projects in high seismic zones along the US West coast. - Understanding of ductility principles and seismic design of structures, including performance-based design. - Proficiency in technical structural software such as RAM SS, RAM Concept, ETABS, SAP2000, and RISA. - Experience in analysis and design of mid to high-rise building structures. - Proficient in Reinforced Concrete, Steel, Post Tensioning, Tilt-up construction.,
