We are looking for testing engineers who can do in-depth testing, analysis and troubleshooting of L4-7 network devices such as firewalls, VPN gateways, SD-WAN equipment, load balancers, switches, routers and NICs. The candidate will work in customer environments where they introduce suitable test equipment, create test strategies, execute test scenarios and troubleshoot/analyse the results to provide inferences. Strong networking skills and debugging ability, along with excellent communication skills are essential for the role. Important: This role requires testing network equipment in R&D environments. This job is not suitable for network administrators and NoC admins. Required Skills: Two years of relevant work experience Understanding of test tools used for testing network devices, such as Keysight BPS, Spirent Test Center, Avalanche platform, Wireshark, etc Understanding and working experience of network security - TLS, SSL-VPN, IPS/IDS/threat emulation, DDoS, SASE etc Understanding of networking - configuration and management on AWS and Azure Understanding of standardised network equipment test cases such as RFC2544, router test cases, security test cases, application layer test cases, pcap analysis for troubleshooting etc CCNP/CCIE in security is desirable. Understanding test automation and scripting is desirable using technologies/platforms such as Python, REST APIs, Robot framework etc Communication skills. This role requires extensive interfacing with customers. Ability to articulate complex test scenarios, provide product demonstrations and explain debugging/analysis information is important. Key Responsibilities: Test network equipment (firewalls, VPN gateways, SD-WAN/SAS-E gateways, switches, load balancers, etc) for performance and security through various combinations of tests and recommend improvements. Work with customers to introduce new test automation equipment, demonstrate the product, execute test cases in the customer environment, debug and troubleshoot, etc Be able to provide product demonstrations to customers and work in customer environments to provide proof-of-concept and trials for test equipment Be able to configure and manage test setups and topologies that involves complex network setups on-prem and on the cloud (AWS/Azure etc). Hands-on testing with L2-3 and L4-7 traffic generation tools for network equipment testing.
