Founding Technical Team Member | Lucknow Looking for a founding technical team member(who can lead from 0 to 1 and beyond), we trying to build an edtech product to redefine how aspirants of competitive exams like UPSC, State PSC, SSC and various other prep for their current affairs. It is a large opportunity ready to be disrupted, as millions of students struggle with this. The Problem That We Identified Current affairs have a dynamic and evolving nature, so by virtue, they are large in volume (for most of the exams, students have to cover at least 1 year of current affairs), and this gets very challenging due to: One has to read daily newspapers, mainly editorials Most of them also cover this in monthly magazines, which again have approximately 100 pages. And for additional content, they go on various coaching websites, etc. For most static subjects, they have to link current affairs with them, like in polity or international relations. According to our research, students give almost an hour daily for this part of the prep. After reading all of this, they remain uncertain about the level of their prep for current affairs. We are trying to build an intelligent system that solves this core problem, helps them cover current affairs daily with confidence and in less time. Food, internet, and premium tools are on us. What I Am Looking For Curiosity, to run experiments and get your hands dirty. Ownership (acc to me, that is high agency) you solve problems, figure out paths. The Role You’ll be the first technical member working directly with the founder to: Build the MVP end-to-end from frontend to backend, integrating AI features. Design the core data architecture (users, articles, questions, summaries, etc.). Integrate LLMs / AI APIs for summarisation, quiz generation, and recommendations. Implement feedback loops so our system learns from user interactions. Collaborate on fast experiments launch → get feedback → iterate quickly. Optionally, help hire and mentor future interns once we expand tech bandwidth. Skills We’re Looking For Frontend: React / Next.js (comfortable building UIs quickly). Backend: Node.js or Python (Flask/FastAPI). Database: MongoDB / Firebase / PostgreSQL (basic architecture & queries). APIs: REST APIs and 3rd-party integrations (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.). Version control: Git + GitHub. Bonus: Understanding how LLMs work under the hood or curiosity to learn fast.
