The Medical Imaging Technology team of Siemens Healthcare Technology Center in Princeton, NJ is seeking an experienced Chest Radiologist to contribute to the advancement of AI-based solutions in medical imaging. As a Chest Radiologist, you will bring your clinical expertise in thoracic imaging to collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and clinical teams in the development, validation, and deployment of AI-driven diagnostic tools. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of integrating clinical radiology with cutting-edge technology and shaping the future of AI in healthcare. Your responsibilities will include developing algorithms for automated detection, diagnosis, and quantification of thoracic diseases such as lung cancer, pneumonia, and interstitial lung disease in medical imaging. You will lead the clinical validation efforts for AI models, evaluate algorithm performance, ensure diagnostic accuracy, and compare AI outputs against radiologist interpretation. Providing expert annotations and guidance on chest imaging datasets to enhance AI model training and maintaining the quality and consistency of labeled datasets will be crucial aspects of your role. Collaborating with AI developers to refine algorithms, offering clinical feedback for improvement, and integrating AI solutions into radiology workflows will also be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this position, you must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with board certification in Diagnostic Radiology and have completed fellowship training in Chest or Thoracic Imaging. A minimum of 5 years of experience in chest imaging, particularly in diagnosing pulmonary and thoracic conditions, is required. Experience in AI development, clinical research, or advanced imaging techniques is highly desirable. Proficiency in AI applications in medical imaging, familiarity with automated segmentation, classification, and detection algorithms, as well as experience with AI platforms, machine learning models, and medical imaging software will be beneficial. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for effectively working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
