CNC Operator | Job Duties • Manages CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling. • Prepares and loads raw materials and parts onto the machines • Checks and replaces inserts for blunt edge, cleans the pockets of the inserts, • Checks if the first piece produced is within the given tolerance and meets the quality standards. • Ensures the CNC machine operates in accordance with the fed program on the CNC machine • Inspects and measures finished products and compares them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly • Checks machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality. • Routine maintenance of CNC machines; checks oil levels, coolant levels and concentration, and monitors overall machine performance • Records all machine actions by completing production and quality logs. • Communicates issues that arise in the process of creating a part • Ensures that results of machining process align with client expectations. • Conducts regular CNC machine assessments. • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. • Inspects the work area and machines that were used during the day prior to leaving at the end of each shift.
