This is an excellent opportunity to join Cisco's Unified Computing Systems (UCS) team in the Data Center space. The Cisco UCS Rack Server is a high-density server optimized for performance and efficiency, suitable for virtualization and bare-metal workloads. It can be managed as a standalone unit by Cisco Intersight or UCS Manager to showcase Cisco's unified computing benefits and enhance business agility. In the Computing Systems Product Group, you will collaborate with a global team spanning development, SQA, TME, product management, and program management. The group is dedicated to delivering innovative end-to-end configuration solutions for rack and blade servers, facilitating highly sophisticated data centers and enabling IT as a service (ITaaS). The current product portfolio includes unified computing servers, both blade and rack models, and UCS management software for streamlined access and control of the entire solution. As an SQA Engineer in the UCS validation team at Cisco Bangalore, you will validate Cisco C-series and S-series rack BMC, ensuring product performance aligns with customer needs. Your responsibilities will include debugging, issue triage, studying industry specifications, and designing test cases. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in rack or blade server validation, strong system testing and debugging skills, and expertise in hardware-software compatibility for enterprise-level servers. Key Technical Skills Required: - Validation of server BMC - Knowledge of CPU/memory/PCI subsystems - Understanding of Intel/AMD server platforms, NVMe, and GPUs - System architecture and operating systems concepts - Third-party adopters and configuration utilities - Experience with VMware, Linux, and Windows OSs - Proficiency in automation scripting (Tcl, Expect, Python preferred) Desired competencies include strong communication skills, multitasking ability, independence in work, setting up sophisticated configurations, and a passion for learning and growing in a dynamic market.
