This evolution is aimed at strengthening collaboration with global teams in Germany, Spain, and Taiwan. In this role, we are looking for an experienced PxPlus Programmer to contribute to the enhancement and modernization of our critical business applications developed on the PxPlus platform. Working alongside a collaborative development team, you will focus on ensuring system stability while introducing new features, integrations, and performance enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business application logic, legacy system architectures, and proficiently utilize PxPlus tools like NOMADS, WindX, iNomads, and Webster+ to deliver scalable and efficient solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and enhancing business applications in PxPlus/ProvideX, designing and implementing new features based on business needs, modernizing systems using PxPlus web-enablement tools, integrating applications with external systems through REST APIs, ODBC, and SQL, debugging and resolving issues in legacy codebases, collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining technical documentation, and participating in software deployments and testing cycles. Required Qualifications: - 3-7+ years of experience in PxPlus (or ProvideX) programming. - Proficiency in business logic, file-based data structures, and PxPlus scripting language. - Experience with PxPlus development tools like NOMADS, WindX, Webster+, iNomads, Ed+. - Familiarity with multi-user environments, terminal emulators, and thin-client deployment. - Knowledge in API integrations (RESTful or SOAP), ODBC connectivity, and refactoring legacy code. - Strong debugging skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication in a team environment. Nice to Have: - Familiarity with Visual Studio Code integration or modern IDEs for PxPlus. - Exposure to modernization projects, web frontend development, or migration to cloud platforms. - Understanding of SQL databases, ERP systems, or vertical-market business applications. - Knowledge of source control tools (e.g., Git) and DevOps practices. - Experience in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or manufacturing.
