As a test engineer, you will be joining our team of development engineers to work on the development and performance verification of climate chambers, safety cabinets, incubators, and laboratory ovens. In close collaboration with the R&D department, you will be responsible for coordinating suitable verification tests, defining their scope, conducting the tests, preparing test reports, and interpreting the test results. Your primary responsibilities will include executing standardized tests to qualify mechanical or electrical device components, as well as conducting performance and reliability tests on complete prototype devices. You will be involved in all aspects of functional testing, from sample preparation to instrument calibration, ensuring standard testing procedures are followed, and reporting the outcomes of the test trials. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining the lab's functionality by managing inventory levels of lab supplies, overseeing equipment maintenance and calibration, and ensuring compliance with Quality and Regulatory requirements of the Organization. You will also be involved in asset tracking, record maintenance, and contributing to the development, updating, and review of Test Procedures, SOPs, and Protocols as assigned. As part of your role, you will be expected to perform troubleshooting and investigations, while adhering to all regulatory and in-house requirements, including safety protocols, housekeeping standards, laboratory waste management, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and documentation procedures. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Graduate or Diploma degree in Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in Testing labs, particularly in Mechanical/Electrical Labs. Knowledge and application of Good Documentation practices are essential, as well as proficiency in spoken and written English. Furthermore, you should be flexible to work on weekends, multiple shifts, and across various lab locations. Prior experience with thermocouple fixing and data logging on Thermal testing would be highly advantageous for this role.
