Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, is essential, while knowledge of After Effects or Blender is considered a plus. A strong portfolio demonstrating a creative and clean design style, along with basic understanding of industrial/engineering illustrations, will be beneficial. Focused on miniaturized Loop Heat Pipe technology, Thermistance aims to provide cost-effective solutions for gaming and high-performance computing applications. Founded by passionate IIT alumni, we offer world-class facilities and research for thermal management problems. Our team continuously works towards the commercialization of advanced cooling technologies while also providing conventional solutions and consultancy services. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Design Engineer – Mechanical based in Pune. The Junior Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components, and working on product design. Daily tasks include using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for creating detailed engineering drawings and models, collaborating with electrical engineers, and ensuring all designs meet technical and regulatory standards. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships/projects will be considered). Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or CATIA). Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. Attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Prefered Skills(Added Advantage) Exposure to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Familiarity with FEA/CAE tools (ANSYS, HyperMesh, etc.). Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems. Hands-on internship/project experience in mechanical design. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies. Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD, etc.). Support in conducting engineering calculations, material selection, and tolerance analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, purchase) to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. Prepare and maintain design documentation, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and technical specifications. Assist in prototyping, testing, and validation of designs. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive inputs. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety norms, and company guidelines. Stay updated with the latest design tools, technologies, and engineering practices.
