Thermal Engineer - Intern

As an intern with the thermal architecture team at Altera, your primary focus will be on FPGA thermal design at both the chip level and platform level. Your role will involve supporting team members with their projects. Initially, you will undergo training on using FPGA temperature generator tools. Subsequently, you will take on the responsibility of generating detailed die temperature maps for specific power scenarios using tools and simulations. Furthermore, you will be tasked with conducting market research on thermal solutions and boundary conditions across various industries. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the thermal architecture team members with their projects - Learn to use FPGA temperature generator tools - Generate detailed die temperature maps for specific power scenarios - Conduct market research on thermal solutions and boundary conditions Qualifications: - Currently pursuing ME/ MTech in Thermal and Fluid Systems - Coursework on electronics cooling - Exposure or coursework on common CFD tools such as Flotherm, IcePAK, Fluent, etc. - Programming experience in MatLab or Python is desirable,
