As a Video Editor Movie Mashups Specialist, you will be responsible for editing high-quality video content, including movie mashups, trailers, highlight reels, and social media clips. Your role will involve creating engaging narratives using movie footage from various sources and syncing audio, music, voiceovers, and sound effects to enhance storytelling. You will work closely with movie rights holders in Mumbai to ensure timely delivery of content with high production value while managing video assets and organizing media libraries. To excel in this role, you should have 5-7 years of experience in video editing with a specific focus on movie mashups. Your portfolio should demonstrate expertise in editing trailers, fan edits, or thematic compilations using clips from Bollywood, Hollywood, or regional cinema. Proficiency in tools like DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro is essential, along with basic knowledge of color grading and audio mixing. A passion for movies and a deep understanding of cinematic storytelling are key attributes that will contribute to your success in this position. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and have a strong eye for visual composition and rhythm. Preferred skills include experience in YouTube content editing or entertainment channels, familiarity with copyright and fair use in mashup content, motion graphics or VFX skills, and knowledge of Bollywood and/or South Indian cinema. Additionally, the ability to create dynamic transitions, smooth cuts, and punchy pacing in mashups, as well as an understanding of genre-based storytelling to match mood with music and visuals, will be advantageous for this role.
