Position: OT Scrub Nurse
Location: Kollam, Kerala
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Operating Theatre
Qualification: BSc Nursing / GNM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced OT Scrub Nurse to join a reputed hospital in Kollam, Kerala. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in the operating theatre, supporting surgeons during procedures, maintaining sterile techniques, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.

Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Operative Duties

• Prepare the operation theatre with required surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Set up and maintain a sterile field based on the specific surgical procedure.
• Verify the functioning of OT equipment and report any issues promptly.
• Assist in patient preparation and ensure completion of pre-operative checklists.

Intra-Operative Duties

• Serve as the primary scrub nurse during surgeries.
• Anticipate and accurately provide instruments, sutures, and supplies to the surgeon.
• Follow strict sterile techniques and OT protocols at all times.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts along with the circulating nurse.
• Handle and label surgical specimens according to hospital and laboratory guidelines.

Post-Operative Duties

• Assist in the safe transfer of patients to the recovery area.
• Take part in cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Restock and prepare the OT for subsequent procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and materials used.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, OT protocols, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and OT team members.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in emergency situations.

Pay: From ₹450,000.00 per month
