Position: Commis I ( indian) Location: film nagar and gachibowli , hyderabad Department: Kitchen Reports to: Chef de Partie/Sous Chef Job Overview We are looking for a talented Commis I to join our culinary team, specializing in Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Indian cooking techniques, a passion for food, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of south dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Ingredient Management: Handle, store, and prepare ingredients with care to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Menu Execution: Work alongside the Chef de Partie to execute daily specials and support the overall menu offerings. Cooking Techniques: Utilize traditional Indian cooking techniques, such as stir-frying, steaming, and braising, to create authentic flavors. Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all food safety and sanitation protocols. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and a smooth workflow. Continuous Learning: Stay informed about culinary trends in indian cuisine and seek opportunities for professional development. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on indian cuisine preferred. Skills: Proficient in various South Indian cooking techniques and knowledge of essential ingredients and spices. Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
