Job Description: Key Account Executive (Modern Trade) Location: [Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Delhi & Hyderabad] Department: Sales Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and result-driven Key Account Executive to lead field sales operations and ensure sales performance in line with business goals. The role includes direct oversight of team productivity, distributor relationships, stock availability, store-level execution, and performance analytics. This is a strategic, high-impact role that demands strong leadership, execution excellence, and a data-centric mindset. Key Responsibilities Sales Operations & Execution Ensure 100% availability of listed products on shelves across designated stores Monitor store-level SKU placement and planogram compliance Track and manage fill rates to ensure seamless supply chain execution Distributor & Channel Partner Management Maintain adequate distributor inventory and ensure timely claim settlements and payment cycles Manage SLA adherence and build strong distributor relationships Drive execution of planned trade promotions, in-store activations, and visual merchandising standards Manpower Deployment & Retail Execution Coordinate with third-party manpower agencies for store staffing and deployment planning Monitor manpower attendance, training completion, replacements, and new store rollouts Conduct audits to ensure execution and adherence to operational and VM (Visual Merchandising) standards Target Planning & Performance Management Own primary and secondary sales targets within assigned geography Develop monthly sales plans aligned with product shelf life and AOP (Annual Operating Plan) Analyze sales trends, forecast demand, and identify performance gaps Monitor market competition and develop tactical responses to new entrants and changes Product & Launch Management Lead planning and execution for new product launches as per organizational roadmap Ensure complete downstream training for team, distributors, retailers, and promoters Key Account & Business Development Track sales performance at key accounts by SKU, store, and DC Monitor stock availability and promotion effectiveness across all major stores Address retailer concerns promptly and ensure alignment with Category Managers for national and regional events Communicate key insights back to HO for strategic decision-making Explore and drive business development opportunities across new stores and expanded ranges Desired Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in field sales, preferably in FMCG, retail, or consumer goods sectors Strong team leadership, mentoring, and performance tracking experience Solid knowledge of distribution systems, key account handling, and GT/MT sales formats Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and dashboard tools Execution-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment Why Join Us?
