Job Description

You will be responsible for overseeing and executing software patching activities, including OS-level updates and third-party software patches. This involves conducting QA testing for patches before deploying them across the firm. You will collaborate with the cybersecurity team to analyze security reports and address potential vulnerabilities proactively. Your role will require strong hands-on experience in patching and software deployment using SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and JAMF. This includes creating and managing patching cycles to maintain a secure and up-to-date environment. Additionally, you will provide Tier 3 BAU support for end-user technologies such as desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively. Clear communication with the business stakeholders is essential. You will be responsible for providing updates on patch releases, events, and new developments, ensuring all stakeholders are informed about upgrades, changes, and relevant technology trends. You will also track and document all activities in ServiceNow, maintaining detailed documentation of patching activities and creating reports for ongoing projects and incidents. Ideal candidates should have at least 7 years of experience in desktop engineering, with a focus on patch management and software deployment. Proficiency in SCCM and JAMF for patching and software deployment is required. Experience in QA testing patches, patching end-user technologies, and managing cybersecurity vulnerabilities is crucial. Familiarity with Dell Command and HP PolyLens device patching is preferred. Strong understanding of ServiceNow for tracking and logging activities, along with excellent communication skills, is necessary. The ability to work effectively during UK working hours is also expected.,
