Job Profile: Accountants (Remote – Canadian Clients) Location: Remote (Working Canadian Hours) Engagement: Full-time / Fractional / Contract About the Role We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong Accountant to provide remote accounting and controllership support to Canadian business clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple client portfolios while delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely financial and management reports . This position offers exposure to a wide range of industries and the opportunity to work closely with senior management, clients, and auditors while enhancing clients’ financial and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations and bookkeeping for multiple Canadian business clients. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports . Support fractional controllership and management reporting functions as per client needs. Coordinate with audit and accounting firms , ensuring files are complete, compliant, and audit-ready. Use data-driven insights to support management decision-making and business growth . Leverage IT tools and automation to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and service quality . Work effectively at both the grassroot operational level and the strategic management level to take the business forward. Qualifications Graduation/ Masters in Accounting/ Indian Chartered Accountant (Qualified or Semi-Qualified) . Strong understanding of Canadian GAAP, IFRS, and Canadian tax laws . Experience or familiarity with Canadian tax compliance and tax software is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience working with audit/accounting firms handling multiple client engagements. Technical Skills Accounting Software: QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), Xero, SAGE, and other accounting tools. IT & Reporting Tools: Advanced Excel, Power BI, and management reporting software. Strong knowledge of MIS reporting, budgeting, financial modelling, and performance dashboards . Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to client-specific systems and processes.
