Job Description – Social Studies Teacher (Grades 8–10)

Purpose of Role: To teach Social Studies (History, Civics, Geography, Economics) for Grades 8–10 CBSE and actively engage in residential school activities including evening prep classes, co-curriculars, outings, and dorm responsibilities in case of emergencies.

KRAs:

• Teach and complete CBSE Social Studies curriculum for Grades 8–10.
• Conduct evening prep classes with doubt-solving and exam preparation.
• Organize projects, debates, and activities to enhance learning.
• Participate in co-curriculars, outings, and pastoral care duties.

KPIs:

• ≥80% students achieve 70%+ in Social Studies exams.
• Syllabus 100% completed before deadlines.
• 90%+ student participation in prep classes.

Skills: Strong subject knowledge, interactive teaching, communication, student engagement, adaptability.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s in History/Political Science/Geography/Economics with B.Ed. (Residential school experience preferred).
