1. Role Overview

The TGT Social Science teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction across History, Geography, Civics, and Economics for Grades 610. The role involves promoting conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and real-world application through innovative and engaging teaching practices.

2. Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery

• Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Civics, Economics) for Grades 610 as per CBSE guidelines.

• Plan and deliver engaging lesson plans with differentiated instructional strategies.

• Integrate experiential learning, discussions, debates, and project-based activities.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Prepare question papers, worksheets, rubrics, and formative assessments.

• Conduct periodic assessments and maintain detailed student performance records.

• Provide constructive feedback and remediation for students needing support.

Classroom Management

• Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.

• Foster respect, teamwork, cultural awareness, and social responsibility.

Professional Responsibilities

• Participate actively in academic planning meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

• Collaborate with peers to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of the curriculum.

• Support school events, exhibitions, competitions, and social sciencerelated activities.

• Maintain communication with parents and provide timely updates on student progress.

Qualifications:
