Job Description

Job Summary

The TGT is responsible for teaching students of Classes V to VIII, delivering subject content as per curriculum guidelines, fostering academic growth, and supporting students’ overall development through effective teaching strategies and classroom management.

Key Responsibilities (Common for All TGT Subjects)Teaching & Academic Delivery

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
  • Use student-centered teaching methods to promote critical thinking and subject understanding.
  • Ensure completion of syllabus within the academic timeline.
  • Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and teaching aids.

Assessment & Evaluation

  • Design and conduct tests, quizzes, projects, and examinations.
  • Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
  • Identify slow learners and provide remedial teaching.

Classroom Management

  • Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage student participation and active learning.
  • Monitor attendance and student behavior.

Student Support & Development

  • Mentor students for academic and personal growth.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
  • Guide students in projects, competitions, and co-curricular activities.

Administrative & Institutional Duties

  • Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and workshops.
  • Assist in school events, examinations, and extracurricular activities.
  • Adhere to school policies, rules, and professional ethics.

Subject-Specific Responsibilities (Examples)TGT English

  • Develop reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills.
  • Encourage literature appreciation and creative writing.

TGT Mathematics

  • Teach concepts clearly using logical and problem-solving approaches.
  • Help students develop analytical and numerical skills.

TGT Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology)

  • Conduct experiments and practical demonstrations safely.
  • Encourage scientific inquiry and real-life application.

TGT Social Science

  • Teach History, Geography, Civics, and Economics effectively.
  • Promote awareness of social, political, and environmental issues.

TGT Hindi / Sanskrit

  • Improve language proficiency, grammar, and literature appreciation.
  • Promote cultural and moral values through language learning.

TGT Computer Science

  • Teach programming basics, applications, and digital literacy.
  • Guide students in practical lab work and projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject.
  • B.Ed. (Mandatory for most boards).
  • CTET/TET qualification (as per school/board norms).
  • Strong command over subject content and pedagogy.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Classroom management and student engagement abilities.
  • Familiarity with smart boards and digital teaching tools.
  • Patience, adaptability, and teamwork.

Experience

  • 1–5 years of teaching experience (preferred, varies by school).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
